Top 5 Dream Summer Vacay Destinations (Staff Picks)

Summer is kicking in fast, and with the heat rolling in, we can’t help but share our dream summer plans during lunch breaks. I have decided to compile this into a list, perhaps we can check these destinations off in the next few years! While a few members of our team have plans to get hitched next year, you will find some of the spots to be honeymoon worthy.

Maldives

Our designer immediately pointed Maldives out as one of her top choices. The island nation is known to the world as a premiere honeymoon destination, with its alluring deep blue seas, turquoise reefs, white sandy beaches and beautiful palm trees. Maldives is made up of 1,192 islands with their population only occupying 192 of those, but keep in mind as these islands are slowly disappearing while the Indian Ocean rises, so visit it before this paradise becomes history.

Santorini, Greece

Santorini is a top choice for the women in the team as it is possibly the most sought after place for a romantic getaway. The island is known as the “precious gem of the Aegean”, and is a whole complex that is still an active volcano. In this part of Europe, there are only two seasons. April to October is when you want to visit as it is warm and dry, whereas November to March is the cold and rainy season. Plan accordingly to visit this gem of a travel destination.

Papakolea Beach or anywhere in Hawaii

A perfect beach going experience for the active and adventurous. As there is a three mile hike involved to get to the Papakolea Beach, it is where the pro-beach goers travel to just to see the special sand. The sand here is primarily the color of olivine, a green mineral which comes from Puu Mahana, a volcanic cone above the beach. This is also one of the only two green sand beaches in the world. However, as the waters here are turbulent, save the swimming for when you get back to your resort’s beach!

Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Our marketing guy put this on the top of the list as his dream vacay spot, and you will see why. If you are a man (or woman) who enjoys looking at hot women wearing the skimpiest bikinis on the planet, this is the beach for you. Ipanema Beach is the best Rio has to offer, as it is where topless sunbathing women first took their tops off in the 80’s, and began the fashion of wearing dental floss bikini in the late 80’s. Everything is in walking distance, so finding your way around this beach town is not a chore at all.

 

Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Another honeymoon-in-paradise location, Bora Bora has been called the most beautiful island in the world. Matira Beach, the main beach on Bora Bora is one mile of completely exquisite white sand beach. At low tide you can even take a nice stroll out from the Matira Point, across the shallows, then out to where the barrier reef is. For activities in the water, snorkeling is quite popular as you can see the hundreds of colorful tropical fish species underwater.
